I became interested in subminiature cameras in the late 1970's when a friend offered me a Minolta MG-16 with matching projector. I have always been fascinated by anything small and mechanical, so I was hooked. My first few rolls of film were disappointing. The images were sharp enough, but the grain was terrible when the prints were enlarged above 3 1/2 by 5 size.

I finally stumbled into some expired microfilm, but with no knowledge of special developers, the contrast was uncontrollable. I put the MG away and forgot about it for over 15 years, until 1999, when my grandson asked to be introduced to my darkroom.

Since then I found the Sub Club and the wealth of information available from the
Subminiature Mailing List on Yahoo. I have also acquired some Minox and other subminiature cameras and have begun to explore the possibilites of subminiature photography.
